Miss Mary Carter Becomes Bride Of J. B. Shelton

(Special to Daily News) LEAKSVILLE-SPRAY, Nov. 22— Deep Spring Baptist church was the scene of the wedding Saturday evening. November 15 of Miss Mary Helen Carter, of Stoneville, and John Bonner Shelton. of Madison. Rev. R. F. Adams, of Mayodan and pastor of the church, officiated.

A musical program was given by E. F. Duncan, organist and principal of the school at Mayodan, and , Howard Gates, of Burlington, vocal j soloist and college classmate of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Fred Shelton, brother of the bridegroom^ and Howard Purgason, of Mayodan.

Following the ceremony, the bridal couple left by automobile for a wedding trip to unannounced points. Upon their return they will be at home at Madison.

Mrs. Shelton is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Carter, of Spring Garden farm near Stoneville. She attended Stoneville high school and Woman's college, Greensboro, and for some time has held a position with a motor car concern in Madison.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Shelton, of Mayodan. He attended Mayodan high i school and Mars Hill college and is connected with Gem-Dandy Garter company at Madison.
